A Fine Day To Die

Alright doods, this isn't necessarily "the end" but after watching things dwindle since 2015 (to the point that even my stubborn ass has to admit that things are never going back to the way they were) I'm taking what will probably be a lengthy hiatus from social media and 'zine type stuff to focus on life/ band/ and shit that is actually fun.

Brain Puke: Getting Political

Im in a shitty mood! Let's alienate the audience by talking about religion and politics!

- I grew up shit poor in Texas, I eat meat, I am enthusiastically straight, I have nothing against hunting or guns (yes, even semi and full auto weapons, 'cos if you wound a 200+lb feral hog in the middle of some swamp somewhere and the fucking thing decides that its dying act is going to be goring the absolute shit out of you believe me when I say you want that next shot to come out quick), and my sense of humor would almost certainly get me kicked off 9/10 of the habitable planets in this universe so I never thought of myself as being any kind of "liberal elite" but apparently not having anything against gays or brown people and harboring the notion that people who work jobs should be paid enough to afford food medicine and shelter at the same time makes me some kind of fire-breathing AOC demon... This country is so fucking stupid sometimes.

- I wholeheartedly support annihilating much larger clusters of cells than just a fetus, so as far as I'm concerned the glob of goo in your girlfriend doesn't deserve special protection.

- Religion deserves as much respect as it has ever shown to all the people it has genocided.

- Christ would shit bricks if he saw even half the dumb bullshit people pull in his name.

- The upsurge of all this stupid nazi / white supremacist shit that's been all over the place these past few years is getting fucking old too... Mediocre lumpy white fucks desperate to pretend they're the spartans from Frank Miller's 300. Weak shit.

- Holy fuck! Why is the Lethargy Discography going for almost $100 online? Searched it on discogs just now expecting it to be $15 tops and figured I'd grab a copy if it was in the $8 - $10 range... Joke's on me.

- Same deal with this album I remember kind of liking when I was in high school. I was thinking of picking up a copy because I remembered the first song sounding vaguely like a Morbid Angel/ Cattlepress hybrid as played by suburban teenagers, but not for $90 bucks I'm not... What's crazy is $90 is actually way down from what I saw it going for when I looked for a copy a couple years ago.

- On the upside, the Red Sky CD I'd been looking for only ran me about $3. They were honestly nothing special, just kinda screechy metalcore with a member who (I think) was also in Abnegation, but I have kind of a soft spot for them because I thought "The Knife Behind The Smile" was a pretty cool album title back when I was fifteen.

- Other than that? Listening to lots of fucking Bathory and Beherit!
